Silverleaf Tavern - “Chef’s Night Out”: Weekly tasting event with wine pairing..

Chef Patricia Williams and Sous Chef Mike Franey organize the "Chef's Night Out" event every Friday. Even after the opening of the Chef's Williams' new restaurant NIOS, Chef still finds time to lead this weekly event.

Overall it is a great event at an amazing deal. First time we were invited to this event we thought it was another wine tasting but you actually get to enjoy three full-portion courses with a choice of wine pairing. Every week menu and wine selection changes but so far they didn't disappoint.

Executive Chef Patricia Williams and Sous Chef Mike Franey step out from behind the kitchen lines to prepare a three course tasting in front of guests seated at our sophisticated bar in Silverleaf Tavern. For those seated at our more intimate tables in the restaurant, the culinary skills of the Chefs are displayed on 2 flat screen televisions through a live video feed so no one misses a minute of the action! It’s like having a personal chef in your own living room!

Each dish is perfectly paired with unique wines from around the world but guests are welcomed to choose which ever selection they desire. Tasting dishes are $5 or $10 and wine is $5 per glass.

There are two seatings every Friday night at 6pm and 8:30pm but space is limited so please email Traci.Gomes@kimptonhotels.com or call 212-973-2561 to reserve a spot.
